Spread the Word About Financial Education

Thank you for your support during Financial Literacy Month!

Since 2003, the U.S. has recognized April as Financial Literacy Month. This is a special time for financial institutions, nonprofits, educators, and others to raise financial literacy awareness and promote the need for personal finance education among youth and adults.

Each week during Financial Literacy Month, we are sharing some perspective on the importance of our work in April, and beyond, in partnership with key financial institutions and other area nonprofits.

Told from the perspective of volunteers from some of our dearest partners and students, this video series highlights examples of financial education's impact in people's lives and the partnerships that make it all possible. Many thanks to The Washington Bankers Association, Year Up Bellevue, BECU and Puget Sound Training Center for sharing your perspectives and experiences!

Please join us weekly throughout April as we share more interviews with Financial Beginnings Washington partners in the "Celebrating Financial Literacy Month" video series. Contact us today to schedule classes, attend a volunteer orientation, donate, or request more information.

"Financial Beginnings' lessons were important. A lot of people might now save themselves from falling into too much debt. It might even prevent someone from having to foreclose on their home." - Student Participant
